FAQ For LifeKidz Parents
When and Where are Children's Ministry programs at Life Community church?
Infant through 5th grade children's ministry is offered by our children's ministry staff during all 2 services; Sundays 9:15 and 11:00 am.
How will I know my child is safe? How can staff reach me if there is a problem?
All of our leaders have gone through a vendor that provides thorough background investigations for our church. When you arrive you will be given a label which has a number that matches the number given on your child's sticker. If there is any issue, we will display the number on the screens in the main sanctuary.
Can "big brother" or "big sister" stay with my little one in their classroom?
Yes. We encourage our children to be in their own classroom, at their own age and grade, but if this very important to parent and child accomadations can be made.
My child has an allergy (any medical condition). What should we do to ensure my child has the best experience they can possibly have?
Each of our rooms have leaders that are trained and, typically, recognize parents after the second or third visit. If this is your first time you will be asked to fill out some information that is helpful to us on a blue sheet (similar to the one above). Please include any medical/allergy information on this form so that our leaders will be familiar with any medical condition your child may have. We celebrate often what God is doing at LifeKidz with snacks, games, and events and we want to make sure that everyone is included! If your child has a severe medical condition it may be helpful to email LaurieK@lifecconline.com in order to make sure leaders are available to best accomodate your needs.
What curriculum does Life use for children?
We are now using the Orange Curriculum in our Children's Ministry, which features creative presentations of the weekly Bible story and monthly virtues that allow kids to connect with the stories and relate it to their daily lives. This curriculum offers more one-on-one time with the students where leaders can focus on fostering each child's relationship with Jesus.
How can I serve?
We are always looking for dynamic leaders to serve with us at either the 9:15 or 11 am service! Being a leader in Children's Ministry allows you to make an impact in a child's life as you help them in their relationship with Christ. If you are interested in learning more about this opportunity or feel a calling to serve in Children's Ministry, please contact Laurie Kelley at email@example.com.
